Unfortunately, Horizons doesn't come with a manual. You basically have to learn everything yourself or from talking to people. There is a tutorial at the front end just after you have created your character. IMPORTANT: DO THE TUTORIAL. These pages are dedicated to offering additional information not provided by the tutorial and due to the lack of a manual. At the top of this page you will see links to additional pages on this site.
On the Basics page you will find general information on the game itself and interfaces.
On the Configuration page there is information on how you can configure your in-game interface.
On the Crafting page you will find some notes about crafting.
On the Adventuring page discusses some aspects of fighting, and the Friends Of Istaria page is dedicated to my guild.
In Horizons, the role playing experience is split between Adventuring and Crafting. Both are related through character stats like strength and dexterity. But they are also linked subtly. As you progress in crafting, you will want access to higher level resources. The higher level resources are found in areas with monsters. And to fight the monsters, you need crafting to create your weapons, armor and other things. So it behooves you to balance between Adventuring and Crafting.
