Thanks to HTTP://WWW.EDASHKIT.COM my Z's interior looks much better. The only thing better than a brushed aluminum dash kit would be costly hogged out aluminum replacements. The kit comes with everything you need for installation including instructions, alcohol wipe pads and 3M adhesive surface prep pads. Given the complex angles and curves of the dash in the Z, this is a tough kit to install. The key is to take your time and test fit and test fit and test fit before removing the protective read film. Once the adhesive backed pieces make contact, there is no removal without damaging the adhesive or the piece. So fit carefully a little bit at a time and work your way from end to the other. There were two pieces left over from the kit. The small piece is to go where the center switches in the center console for the seat heater switches are located. This is provided if you don't have the Touring model with heated leather seats. As mine is a Touring model with heated leather seats, I used the other piece provided that has cut-outs for the switches. The larger piece is for the compartment behind the drivers seat which is identical to the one behind the passengers seat. Unfortunately I have a DVD-ROM drive in the compartment behind the drivers seat for the Nissan NAV package and no piece was provided for that application. All in all it's the best look IMHO for the money. It provides applique brushed aluminum accents where the original parts should have been. But then, I would imagine the price of the Z would have increased significantly. |
