A picture is worth a thousand words. All decorations are plastic/resin/silk and were purchased at the local PetSmart. Suitable background paper was also purchased. My intent was to use several simulated varieties of plants, have a nice center piece of simulated driftwood with accents of simulated rocks that would provide shade and cover for timid fish. I think it turned out well. The gravel is about 1.5" at the front and slopes up towards the back to 2.5". This follows both the 1 to 3 inch of medium sized gravel for the UG filter and the sloping rule that gives the tank a "depth" look. The tall synthetic plants are arranged in bunches of 4.
